libdevice-gsm-perl software package provides Perl extension to interface GSM phones / modems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdevice-gsm-perl
libdevice-gsm-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdevice-gsm-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdevice-gsm-perl *
You will get with libdevice-gsm-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
